The LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.”

Introduction: "Rescue" resides within the heart of God. Many times in life there are instances where we may feel that God has left the building of our lives. Most of the time it is because we as a people have failed God and not Him failing us. Here today, is a story of God intervening because His people made the wrong choice. Recapitulate the events that got us here! Here are three things to know about being held hostage.
